Guides who truly know their land

Pablo Myburg
I was born in Los Antiguos and grew up on a chacra surrounded by animals, in a place where cherries and the largest lake in Patagonia are the main attractions.
Since I was a kid, horseback riding was our favorite pastime. On weekends, when we didn’t have school, we’d go riding and didn’t want to get off the horse. Tourists who saw our passion asked us to take them for a ride, and from a very young age, I began building a special connection with travelers.
In 2013, I decided to commit to this path and founded Cabalgatas El Buen Samaritano — a name my grandparents gave to the chacra because they always loved hosting people and sharing experiences. To complement this, I took the official guide course of the province and discovered a whole new world that I became passionate about.
I love meeting people from all over and making friendships after every ride. The world is small, and often we cross paths again. Also, doing long expeditions allowed me to reconnect with what I loved as a kid: being on horseback, camping out in the countryside, and living what I consider the best vacations.
The best part is meeting those who work on estancias or as rural caretakers — simple people with big hearts who love their work and lifestyle. That’s what I try to share on every outing.

I’m from Los Antiguos, though I was born in the nearby town of Perito Moreno in 1997 due to hospital infrastructure. Since I was very young, I loved horses and the outdoors, so when Pablo invited me to work with the horseback rides in 2023, I really liked the idea. That first season, we had many groups, and each one left me with something very special. That’s how we started.
In 2024, a family from France booked a 7-day trek. Pablo and I did a preliminary trip to check the route and logistics. It was my first experience on a long horseback ride, and one of the best jobs I’ve had. In 2025, a young woman from Switzerland got in touch to do a 10-day trek.
Being able to discover new places and meet the right people who share their experiences of every place visited is one of the best things about Cabalgatas El Buen Samaritano. In the future, I’d like to keep living in a place full of freedom, connected to nature and horses, and build a path to dedicate myself to what I truly love.
